Drumming with Burl Bolerjack!

The drum is considered the Heartbeat of Mother Earth, by indigenous peoples around the globe. This is our opportunity for celebration and healing, in this time of great chaos and turmoil.

When working with the drum, as with most meditation techniques, there is a focus for the conscious mind. This focus is listening, and with 100% of our conscious attention focused on listening, the conscious mind does not get to play the instruments.

Our bodies know our individual rhythms, and will express and fit them into the group rhythm, without conscious control. When we do this, that rhythm becomes a powerful force to carry us into that still place of expanded awareness and connection, which is the essence of meditation for me.

No experience required, and bring your own drums and rattles if you have them, additional instruments will be available if you do not.
