A quote by Albert Einstein says: “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.”
What could it mean to us as UUs if we believed in the possibility of miracles in our current social climate. If we were not talking about supernatural intervention but beloved community, it could change everything!
About Our Speaker Rev. Dr. Betty Stapleford
Rev. Betty followed her call to ministry after 28 years as a high school English and Theatre teacher in Delaware and graduated with an MDiv degree from the Claremont School of Theology in California in 1998. She was ordained at the First Unitarian Church in Delaware and then became the minister of the Conejo Valley UU Fellowship (now Chalice UU Fellowship) in Thousand Oaks and earned her Dr. of Ministry in Pastoral Care and Counseling and Ethics in 2005. After serving there for 12 years, she retired and was named their Minister Emerita. For the next 5 years, she served the UU Church of the Verdugo Hills in La Crescenta. And she then became the Affiliate Community Minister for Social Justice at the Universalist Unitarian Church in Santa Paula where she served for 9 years. After failing retirement 3 times, she is now trying it again.
The Sunday Experience
All are invited on Sunday evening at 4:30 pm for welcome and hospitality as we gather for our evening Service. Our Service begins at 5:00 pm and lasts approximately one hour after which all are invited to enjoy conversation and refreshments.
- 4:30 pm – Welcome and Hospitality
- 5:00 pm – Evening Service (ZOOM Opens)
- 6:00 pm – Refreshments
- 6:30 pm – Continuing Conversations
Children’s Play and Learning Trays:
Children are welcome to join the adults in the Sunday Experience. We provided Children’s Play and Learning Trays, which are filled with fun activities to help children engage and participate in during the Sunday service.
