House Warming Gift Baskets
Starting November 5th, the Caring Circle will be sponsoring a collection for North Valley Caring Services called House Warming Baskets(NVCS). NVCS helps many homeless families and car dwellers find housing. Fortunately, this is a highly successful service they provide. However, many who find themselves with a new domicile have little to bring to furnish it. The House Warming Baskets are in response to this need. President’s Corner
November 2023 These are exciting times for SepulvedaUU. We have an inspiring new minister, Rev Gordon Clay Bailey. We have grown from having two services a month to weekly services. Our Board and other leaders in the congregation are working hard to build our community and bring new programming. We had a productive Board Retreat in September, and we have an upcoming planning session on November 18th. I am grateful for everyone in our congregation for showing up and navigating change. Janet is a member and began attending SepulvedaUU in September 2017. She is a native of the Los Angeles area. Since 2010, Janet has been working for a small insurance agency, Barbara C. Oberman Insurance Services, specializing in Employee Benefits. Currently, as the Vice President of Account Management, she wears many hats and works closely with employers and employees. Marilyn Morton
Marilyn, a native of Los Angeles, first came to SepulvedaUU in 1986 and found it to be a very welcoming community in which she could safely explore her spiritual beliefs. She has been here ever since, serving on nearly every committee as well as the Board of Trustees, including the positions of Board President, Vice President and Secretary. In 2014, Marilyn retired from the City of Los Angeles/LADWP with 40 years of service, 24 of those years as a clerical supervisor.
