Music of Hope and the Birth of a New Consciousness (1945-1963)
The end of World War II launched an era of unprecedented prosperity, anxiety, and possibility. Jazz, gospel, folk music, classical innovations, and early rock and roll challenged old assumptions about race, faith, authority, and identity. Beneath the surface of post-war America, a spiritual awakening was quietly taking root.
The Sunday Experience
All are invited on Sunday evening at 4:30 pm for welcome and hospitality as we gather for our evening Service. Our Service begins at 5:00 pm and lasts approximately one hour after which all are invited to enjoy conversation and refreshments.
- 4:30 pm – Welcome and Hospitality
- 5:00 pm – Evening Service (ZOOM Opens)
- 6:00 pm – Refreshments
- 6:30 pm – Continuing Conversations

The Tongva Taraxat Paxaavxa Conservancy is a Tongva led organization with the purpose of stewarding the lands of Tovaangar — the traditional native lands of the greater Los Angeles basin. The Conservancy’s mission includes receiving and managing land back, building community for Native people practicing traditional ceremonies, creating a native archive, and repatriating the lands by returning our native culture and ecosystems.
Children’s Play Trays:
Children are welcome to join the adults in the Sunday Experience. We provided Children’s Play Trays, which are filled with fun activities to help children engage and participate in during the Sunday service.
