Danny Camarena, Alumni Program Manager at InsideOUT Writers, will present the powerful ways in which IOW has impacted the lives of thousands of youth and young adults who have been system impacted since the organization was founded nearly thirty years ago. It is a remarkable success story.
About our Speaker: Danny Camarena
Danny Camarena is the Alumni Program Manager at InsideOUT Writers, where he ensures high-quality, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based services for at-promise youth and young adults who have been system-impacted. Danny also serves on the Steering Committee of the Justice Education Center at Claremont Colleges, advocating for improved higher education opportunities for individuals at the California Rehabilitation Center (CRC). Danny earned a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in Organizational Studies from Pitzer College, class of 2023.
InsideOUT Writers is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing recidivism by providing services to young people navigating juvenile detention and life after incarceration. Using creative writing as a catalyst for personal expression and transformation. They strive to empower our writers with the confidence and skill set to successfully re-integrate into our communities and become powerful advocates for themselves.
Children’s Play and Learning Trays: Children are welcome to join the adults in the Sunday Experience. They will be provided Children’s Play and Learning Trays, which contain various activities so that the children can participate in during the Sunday service. If you have any questions, please contact Teri I.
All are invited on Sunday evening at 4:30 pm for welcome and hospitality as we gather for our evening Service. Our Service begins at 5:00 pm and lasts approximately one hour after which all are invited to enjoy conversation and refreshments.
