Illuminating Family Diversity: Introducing “31 Days of Illuminating Family Diversity”

As we enter December, we’re excited to introduce our latest series, “31 Days of Illuminating Family Diversity.” Throughout the month, this daily series will celebrate the beauty and diversity of families within our communities. This new campaign will spotlight family diversity as part of our ongoing Celebrating Diversity series.

December’s theme, Divine Light, invites us to recognize the spark of the divine within each family, honoring the ways they shape, nurture, and uplift one another. Family takes many forms—chosen families, blended families, multigenerational households, and families of various cultures, orientations, and identities. By sharing their stories, we hope to reflect and amplify the light of acceptance, unity, and compassion in every family story.

Each day, we’ll feature a story, resource, or reflection that illuminates a unique family structure, helping to broaden our understanding of what it means to be “family.” From families formed through adoption to families bound by friendship and shared purpose, our goal is to create space for the diversity of family experiences that enrich our world.

Join us as we celebrate all the ways in which families are unique, important and diverse, each like a star in the constellation of human connection. Let this series inspire you to recognize and embrace the light of diverse family expressions in your own community.
