Janet Landau
Janet is a member and began attending SepulvedaUU in September 2017. She is a native of the Los Angeles area.
Since 2010, Janet has been working for a small insurance agency, Barbara C. Oberman Insurance Services, specializing in Employee Benefits. Currently, as the Vice President of Account Management, she wears many hats and works closely with employers and employees. Most of her career has been in the insurance industry, primarily handling administrative functions. Janet maintains a California insurance license for Life & Health and Property & Casualty.
Janet came to SepulvedaUU looking for a place to explore her spiritual side, seeking community. She was brought up in the Jewish tradition but had always been looking for a spiritual home. She recognized right away that she was welcome at SepulvedaUU and found a place where she could explore and question.
Since coming to SepulvedaUU, Janet has participated in several committees, as well as the Reading with Pastor AJ group. She would like to be a part of the SepulvedaUU congregation expanding in the community; SepulvedaUU is an inclusive place where there is something for everyone. Janet hopes to bring a fresh perspective and would like to see an expansion in social justice.
