Our Central Question: How do we build community while honoring our differences?

Identity, Diversity, and the Search for Belonging (1976-1990)
As old certainties faded, new voices emerged. Women, LGBTQ+ communities, Indigenous peoples, immigrants, and communities of color reshaped public life. Music reflected both the fragmentation and the creativity of an increasingly diverse society.

The Sunday Experience

All are invited on Sunday evening at 4:30 pm for welcome and hospitality as we gather for our evening Service. Our Service begins at 5:00 pm and lasts approximately one hour after which all are invited to enjoy conversation and refreshments.

  • 4:30 pm – Welcome and Hospitality
  • 5:00 pm – Evening Service (ZOOM Opens)
  • 6:00 pm – Refreshments
  • 6:30 pm – Continuing Conversations

Children’s Play Trays:

Children are welcome to join the adults in the Sunday Experience. We provided Children’s Play Trays, which are filled with fun activities to help children engage and participate in during the Sunday service. If you have any questions, or would like to discuss ways we can best support your child’s Sunday experience, please reach out to  Teri I.

Match Funds w/ We are Stronger Than Censorship

We are proud that each month SepulvedaUU is able to match every dollar given in our Second Sunday Offering. Contributions beyond regular pledges are doubled, turning our shared collection into an even greater source of support for local charities.

Your generosity truly makes a difference. Please plan ahead for your giving to help us continue doubling our impact.

Our Mission
At We Are Stronger Than Censorship, (https://www.wearestrongerthancensorship.org/) we believe in the power of stories to inspire, educate, and connect us all. Our mission is to combat the rising tide of book banning and censorship by empowering readers, supporting independent publishers, and ensuring that diverse voices are heard.

What We Do
The We Are Stronger Than Censorship program will buy 2,000 (or more) books to be donated through multiple regional partners, including the Florida Freedom to Read Project, Texas Freedom to Read Project, and Wisconsin Freedom to Read Project. Twenty titles whose sales have been impacted by the chilling effect will be selected from twenty participating independent publishers (one title from each publisher), and the program will purchase at least 100 copies of each title for donation.
