No One Gets Free Alone (05/03)

As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm the interdependent web of all existence, but this truth is not abstract. It is lived, tested, and proven in communities that have had to lean on one another to survive and to rise. From the spirituals sung in bondage to the freedom songs of the movement, we inherit a wisdom that reminds us: liberation is collective.
This sermon invites us to live our covenant more fully, to recognize that dignity, justice, and freedom are not private possessions, but shared realities. Interdependence calls us beyond empathy into accountable love—because the web is only whole when all of us are held.
“We are all bound together in the great bundle of life.” — Rev. Sofía Betancourt
Breaking Bread Together
On the first Sunday of every month our Hospitality Team invites you to join us for a community meal immediately following worship service,
Gathering around a shared table is a special time to share stories, deepen our connections, and widen our circle of community. Come hungry, bring a dish if you are able, and most importantly, bring yourself. All who are attending are welcome to bring foods that reflect your heritage or a family favorite.
The Sunday Experience
All are invited on Sunday evening at 4:30 pm for welcome and hospitality as we gather for our evening Service. Our Service begins at 5:00 pm and lasts approximately one hour after which all are invited to enjoy conversation and refreshments.
Let us break bread together and celebrate the bonds that unite us.
