President’s Corner

Nov 2025

Dear Beloved Community,

The new year is well underway and the board and our committees are actively planning events and celebrations for our community.

The board is reflecting on your vision and how this vision will help us in discerning our future as Sepulveda UU. In the near future we are planning to host a townhall, inviting everyone in to engage in this community conversation.

In these challenging times, what do we stand for? And just as importantly, How do we want to grow – in spirit, community, and impact. We believe, now more than ever, that Unitarian Universalism has something deeply important to offer the world: a path grounded in love, justice, and inclusion.

A Personal Reflection

I frequently reflect on the future of our congregation, who will we be, what does that look like, how we become more radically welcoming. I believe that we need to try new things, be adventurous and think outside of the box.

I invite you to share your ideas with the board, have conversations about Sepulveda UU’s place in the community. Talk to your family and friends about why you are a part of the Sepulveda Community. I also invite you to talk about Sepulveda UU in your wider circles of community.

There were times I was reluctant, the more I do it the easier it has become. Talk about what Unitarian Universalists believe, our values.

In faith,

Janet
