Monthly Theme: Love as Interdependence

Fall is here and I hope everyone is doing well! I am excited to share that our congregation participated in the Granada Hills Street Fair on October 19th. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with our local community, share our values, and showcase the welcoming spirit of the Sepulveda Unitarian Universalist Society. Thank you to everyone who volunteered and helped
make our presence felt at the fair! The question it brought up is: how do we make Sepulveda Unitarian Universalist Society visible so that the community knows we are here? The board and other committees and teams will be considering this as we move forward.

At a recent service, a group of us put together shower kits for delivery to the Drop-In Access Center at UUSC. We were able to provide about 40 kits. We are also making plans to support the Angel Tree Project at North Valley Caring Services, providing gifts of children’s clothing. More information is forthcoming.

I also want to take a moment to remind everyone of the importance of participating in our democratic process. Voting is not just a right; it is our responsibility. Remember that local issues are important to our communities. Please ensure that you are informed about the upcoming elections and that you make your voice heard. Together, we can make a difference!
