Resurrection Stories: Spring, Spirit, and the Hope That Returns (04/05)

Easter is one of the most powerful stories in human history, but the themes of rebirth and renewal are far older than Christianity itself. In this special Easter service, Rev. Gordon will guide us on a journey through ancient spring traditions—from pagan celebrations of new life to Indigenous, African, and Asian understandings of life’s sacred cycles. We will then turn to the powerful Christian story of Jesus’ resurrection and reflect on why it continues to inspire billions of people around the world. Together we will explore what resurrection means for us today and how our Unitarian Universalist faith calls us to breathe new life into our communities, our spirits, and our world.
The Sunday Experience
All are invited on Sunday evening at 4:30 pm for welcome and hospitality as we gather for our evening Service. Our Service begins at 5:00 pm and lasts approximately one hour after which all are invited to enjoy conversation and refreshments.
Breaking Bread Together
On the first Sunday of every month our Hospitality Team invites you to join us for a community meal immediately following worship service,
Gathering around a shared table is a special time to share stories, deepen our connections, and widen our circle of community. Come hungry, bring a dish if you are able, and most importantly, bring yourself. All who are attending are welcome to bring foods that reflect your heritage or a family favorite.
Let us break bread together and celebrate the bonds that unite us.
Children’s Play and Learning Trays:
Children are welcome to join the adults in the Sunday Experience. We provided Children’s Play and Learning Trays, which are filled with fun activities to help children engage and participate in during the Sunday service. If you have any questions, or would like to discuss ways we can best support your child’s Sunday experience, please reach out to Teri I.
