Somos Familia Valle began as a vision to empower and unite the LGBTQ+ community in the San Fernando Valley but has since grown and established itself as an organization that offers free programming, safe spaces, and access to a plethora of resources.

About Somos Familia Valle
Mission: Somos Familia Valle is a local LGBTQ+ community organization dedicated to support, empower, and mobilize families, and allies for racial, gender, and economic justice in the San Fernando Valley.
Somos Familia Valle was founded on September 6, 2014, with a vision to empower and unite the LGBTQ+ community in the San Fernando Valley. Just one month later, on October 12, 2014, the organization made a groundbreaking launch by hosting the first-ever San Fernando Valley Pride March and Conference in Panorama City. The theme of the event, “COMING OUT OF THE SHADOWS,” symbolized a significant milestone in the community’s journey towards visibility and acceptance.
