With BridgesUU
We will be working with BridgesUU through their Progressive Interfaith Alliance program to become a community hub of justice and action in The Valley. With Lisa B and Janet L at the helm, we will be calling together local community organizers and support services to address the needs of the most marginalized in our larger community.
We will be making a commitment with UUs for Racial Justice to reflective work within our congregational systems.
With North Valley Caring Services
Our connection to North Valley Caring Services is back! We are gathering goods to share with folks in need and will fill baskets as often as we can to share with those in need. Look for the list of items needed, but know that basics like toothpaste, toothbrushes, wet wipes, feminine hygiene items, deodorant, diapers, lotions (best are scent free) and many other items will be gratefully received by the folks we share with. Thanks in advance for your generosity!
Additionally, we are planning to participate again this year in the NVCS Angel Tree Project in which we provide gifts of new clothing for children through NVCS. Details will be provided soon.
With others
We will be looking for ways our small, but mighty, group can activate our justice inclinations. Showing up at rallies, maybe writing letters, and possible dialogues with people radically different from ourselves is the way. Stay with us as we engage The Valley and LA in different ways to help define, create, and sustain justice.
