The Ripple Effect: How Small Acts Shape Sacred Community (05/24)

Our faith teaches that every life matters, and every action shapes the whole. In traditions across the world—from African wisdom teachings to Buddhist practice to UU covenant—we are reminded that nothing we do is insignificant. For a people who have turned small acts into survival, resistance, and joy, this is sacred knowledge.
This sermon calls us to honor the power we carry in everyday choices: to build beloved community not only through grand gestures, but through consistent, intentional care. Interdependence is not just a concept—it is a daily practice of showing up for one another, knowing that even the smallest act can echo across the human family.
UU Quote:
“We are a people of the open circle, not the closed fist.” — Rev. Dr. Mark Morrison-Reed
