In a time of political tension, we must reflect on who might be left out of our beloved communities, and struggle towards a world to liberate all peoples.

About our Guest Speaker

Chase Williams is a seminarian at Iliff School of Theology and aspirant for UU ministry. Before seminary, they were a Chaplain Assistant in the Air Force Chaplain Corps, serving from 2019-2023, and received an Achievement medal and Humanitarian Medal for their work during Operations Allies Refugee. Chase was raised in the Southern Baptist Convention in Alabama, discerning the call to ministry in their youth, and later became UU in 2021, and is a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Birmingham, Alabama. Chase is also closely associated with the Vedanta Society. Their theology is formed by Vijana Vedanta and UU Liberation theology. In their free time, Chase enjoys playing the saxophone, being outside, and language learning.
