We Are One: Blessing Our Companions And Everything Else.

An early Sunday in October in the Roman Catholic tradition is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. St. Francis (1182-1226) was a monk who founded the contemporary order of Franciscans. He was known for his vow of poverty and his special connection to animals, among many other things. Many Unitarian Universalists have picked up on the Catholic tradition of blessing animals, particularly pets, on this day. St. Francis may receive little attention at this service, but we will bless pets, companions and the creations around us. Bring pictures of your companions, your sacred rocks, your flowers or trees that touch you and are important to you.  Let’s share a special service dedicated to everything that gives our lives shape and meaning.

SUUS services are held every Sunday at The Center for Spiritual Living ~ 17622 Chatsworth St, Granada Hills CA 91344. Please join us for coffee and conversation at 4:30PM, with services beginning at 5PM. If you are unable to attend in person, the service will be broadcast live on Zoom at 5PM https://zoom.us/j/92064664193…See insights and adsBoost postLikeCommentShare
