There’s No Such Thing As a Silent Ally (08/02)
Lee Wind will share insights on allyship from his journey as a Gay man and also from his adventures as an author. Many of Lee’s books are inspired by real history: a small Montana town in the 1990s where love won against hate; a 2,500 year-old gay love story that was celebrated for over 1,000 years in the Chinese language; a personal holiday mishap in his 30s; and the allyship of Eleanor Roosevelt back in the 1930s and 40s—and how that might impact our allyship to Trans, Nonbinary, and Gender Diverse folks who are under attack today.
About Our Speaker
Lee Wind (he/him) writes the books that would have changed his life as a young Gay Jewish kid—social justice-inspired picture books, nonfiction about Queer history, and Gay teen action adventure romance novels. To help go on the offense against book banning, Lee co-created the national campaign We Are Stronger Than Censorship which buys and donates two books to offset every one book challenge.

The Sunday Experience
All are invited on Sunday evening at 4:30 pm for welcome and hospitality as we gather for our evening Service. Our Service begins at 5:00 pm and lasts approximately one hour after which all are invited to enjoy conversation and refreshments.
- 4:30 pm – Welcome and Hospitality
- 5:00 pm – Evening Service (ZOOM Opens)
- 6:00 pm – Refreshments
- 6:30 pm – Continuing Conversations
Children’s Play Trays:
Children are welcome to join the adults in the Sunday Experience. We provided Children’s Play Trays, which are filled with fun activities to help children engage and participate in during the Sunday service.
