As Unitarian Universalists, we affirm the interdependent web of all existence, but this truth is not abstract. It is lived, tested, and proven in communities that have had to lean on one another to survive and to rise. From the spirituals sung in bondage to the freedom songs of the movement, we inherit a wisdom that reminds us: liberation is collective.

n a time of political tension, we must reflect on who might be left out of our beloved communities, and struggle towards a world to liberate all peoples.

In this Earth Day season, we gather for our Water Communion, bringing together waters that tell the stories of our lives and our shared commitments. We invite congregants to bring water not only as symbol, but as offering to support our unhoused neighbors and reminding us that access to clean water is a matter of justice.
